Iwate International Association - About the Iwate International Association

The Iwate International Association, with support from Iwate Prefecture, various municipalities and businesses, was founded in October 1989, with the underlying goal of strengthening the international understanding and cooperation of prefectural residents, while also invigorating local communities and contributing to the creation of a better Iwate.

In April 2006, the International Association, commissioned by the Iwate Prefectural Government, began operating the International Exchange Center on the 5th floor of the Iwate Prefecture Citizen's Cultural Exchange Center (Aiina).
