エフセーワ・エカテリーナ, a former exchange student of Iwate University is bringing the 21-member "Ensemble Skomorokhi" orchestra to Japan. They will give concerts in Kawaguchi City, Saitama prefecture on July 24th and 25th, in Morioka City on July 28th, and at Otsuchi on July 28th.
Carried by the beautiful timbres of the traditional Russian stringed instrument the balalaika, the group will perform numerous Russian folk music and Russian folk songs well known to Japanese people, as well as Japanese songs. They are also planning a few songs to sing with the audience. This is a very rare opportunity to hear wonderful Russian music, so please take advantage and come and enjoy the concert.
The admission fee is very reasonable: all of the fee goes to the travelling costs of the orchestra. Another purpose of the concerts is to support the coastal areas, as the Otsuchi performance will be free to watch.
We hope, from the bottom of our hearts, that you will come and listen.
